The game is the third in the series, but the fourth game chronologically. The title took a huge leap forward in time, taking place 400 years after the events of the second game. -

Final Fantasy X-2 Retro Review

This time, as opposed to focusing mainly on Tidus, Yuna is the star along with Rikku and new-comer Paine. This marked the first time in the series that the entire cast of playable characters were female. -
