This trend of game of games having their own special edition as they’re release goes on with Star Wars: The Old Republic. GameStop has listed this Collector’s Edition to be $150 now, with official-looking art and a description of the contents.
According to GameStop, purchasing this edition of the game will include as follows:
- Exclusive Gentle Giant Darth Malgus statue
- Game disks collectible metal case
- The Journal of Master Gnost-Dural as annotated by Satele Shan
- The Old Republic galaxy map
- Music of Star Wars: The Old Republic CD
- High-quality Collector’s Edition box
- Includes 7 additional Digital Items:
- Flare Gun: Fire flares into the air
- Training Droid: Hovers at your side for combat assistance
- HoloDancer: Project your own holographic dancer
- HoloCam: Keep visual records of in-game adventures
- STAP: Sleek and unique in-game vehicle
- Exclusive Mouse Droid: Spunky Droid to join your adventures
- Exclusive Collector’s Edition Store: Unique in-game vendor with an assortment of items
- Custom Security Authentication Key
- GameStop bonuses will also include a “Color Stone” which lets you change your lightsaber’s color (which is also included in the regular retail) and early access. It is now available for per-order. There is also an Origin exclusive “Digital Deluxe Edition” with all the in-game extras, 30 Days Game Time, and 5 addition digital items.












The early access and color stone aren’t gamestop pre order exclusives, all retailers will give you a code to input on the website to redeem them, and the 30 days of game time are for all copies.
Oh, and Amazon.com has a supposed release date of December 31st 2011. I’m sure it’s temporary but we must be close!
