If you ask anyone with a child hood, what the best superhero cartoon of all time is or what one of the best cartoons was, they’d say Batman The Animated Series. Probably the most memorable part of the show, was the absolutely brilliant voice acting delivered by Kevin Conroy as Bruce Wayne/Batman, and Mark Hamill as the Joker. In 2009, Arkham Asylum brought these two back together and delivered stunning performances, and now they’ve returned in Arkham City. Kevin Conroy delivers a great performance as a fed up Batman on the verge of just about having enough and just killing everyone, whilst Mark Hamill delivers one of the truest performances as the Joker on his last breathe, struggling to survive (Following the events of Arkham Asylum). But these aren’t the only two great performances. Corey Burton takes the role of Hugo Strange and delivers a bone chilling, sinister performance, as well as Maurice LaMarche delivering the best Mr. Freeze performance in recent memory, and just an entire ensemble cast featuring, Nolan North, Troy Baker, Tara Strong, and many more. With believable and memorable voice acting, that completely delivers and feels true to the Batman universe, it wins our best voice acting award.
