[10] Assassins Creed: Revelations
With the last Assassins game feeling like a bit of a bust, it’s pleasing to see that Ubisoft has put way more tender loving care into the feel of the game with new tactics, moves, equipment, etc. The main thing to this game that make it more appealing is where they are finally taking the story. With Desmond trapped in his mind and a special created section of the animus being the only thing keeping his mind from tearing itself apart, Desmond is given little time to have to live out the rest of his ancestors memories, to see what they have to show him and separate them from his own consciousness. Story alone is what makes this Assassins, everything else just seems to be icing on the cake.
[9] Infamous 2
Continuing the exploits of Cole MacGrath, this is the epic tale in which Cole meets his ultimate challenge when the demon meets the destroyer or better know to the fans of the games as the Beast. With this fast paced action free running open world game that just gets more epic as you delve deeper into the new mystery surrounding Cole MacGrath and the people in around the city of New Marais, the place where Cole trained to be the best at urban exploration, and where he comes back to train with new powers to take on his biggest challenge yet, The Beast.
[8] House of the Dead: Overkill
1) It’s an old school arcade shooter style game 2) Who doesn’t like killing zombies… sorry mutants said the Z word 3) It’s filled with jokes and one liners on par with Hot Tub Time Machine. These few elements put together and you have yourself House of the Dead: Overkill an upgraded port from the Wii but still killing mutants has never been sweeter, especially with its cult classic feel of having the ability to play in old school red and blue 3D. The past games take a theme of it being a very drastic horror game shooter, where you feel like if you don’t kill this zombie your done for. This time around Sega took a different approach with the theme, yes, the horror element is still there but it’s more inspired by the grind house type flicks of old, for those of you that are kind of scratching your heads, just think of the style Quentin Tarantino has in his movies or Robert Rodriguez. With non stop comedy, action , hot video game girls saying innuendo’s, and two cops that are funnier than Riggs and Murtaugh from the Lethal Weapon series this game has more than enough to offer the fans of arcade shooters.
[7] Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3
Marvel vs Capcom was a hit especially when you have the fans of the series waiting something like ten years before you release the third installment, the sad thing is there was a rooster expectation that wasn’t exactly filled to it’s full potential… That’s when Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 came out releasing 12 new characters, and a more balanced fighting system, not to mention a spectator mode for online that should have been added in the first place.
[6] Skyrim
Bethesda although amazing at highly intriguing detailed worlds, with story that drives you to explore them, even though the story dialogue can be a little soulless at times, and extremely broken at some parts when it comes to the physics engine, but besides all that this is a beautifully designed open world game with random dragon attacks… You are the chosen, a person marked by fate that speaks the language of the dragons, and guess what you have to kill them all in this hugely open world of majestic sight and beauty to the most darkest and barbaric area and creatures.
