Earlier today, a pricing error caused Assassin’s Creed III for Xbox 360 to be listed as $15 on Walmart.com. After less than an hour past, Walmart locked the preorder button and said that their stock was “sold out.” The people who had it preordered, me included, had their hopes up that Wally World would honor the price and give them the game for the price on the site. However, Walmart has begun cancelling the preorders that were taken during the $15 price error due to “lack of product availability.” Sadly, we can’t fight it as in their policies this is stated:
While Walmart.com strives to provide accurate product and pricing information, pricing or typographical errors may occur. Walmart.com cannot confirm the price of an item until after you order. In the event that an item is listed at an incorrect price or with incorrect information due to an error in pricing or product information, Walmart.com shall have the right, at our sole discretion, to refuse or cancel any orders placed for that item. In the event that an item is mispriced, Walmart.com may, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions or cancel your order and notify you of such cancellation. Prices and availability are subject to change without notice.
