Earlier this week, it was announced that PC JRPG Death’s Apprentice was going to be coming to Xbox 360 as a full blown retail release. Sources suspect a hoax as a search for the game brings back little more than the same few screenshots for a supposed PC game that was “well received.” How little information there is before a few days ago makes this game seem a little fishy to say the least. There is also the glaring hard to miss observation that this is RPG Maker 2003 and this ‘game’ uses the default RTP as well as the default font for the program.

Well being the creator developed some of the scripting and methods used in today’s RPG makers in 1992.
My boyfriend bought the PC version for my birthday because I am a big old school gamer and miss games like original Zelda. I was overjoyed when I got this. The game comes with so much stuff! It is unbelievable. The woman who runs the game company has done a lot of stuff I think. The PC version was about 8 discs! I was surprised being that more than WoW games nowdays. It came with a cool hand drawn artwork/poster too. The game is a mix of class jrpg and 3D animation. One minute I was fighting a 8-bit monster then a cut-scene appears and you return to the 3D world. The designer has a degree in Psychology, so it has some deeper meaning about today’s society and how we view things. Cause the company is small then there were only a few special collectors games released.
