Hands-On Preview: Halo 4 (Multiplayer)

Being 14 when I played the first Halo, I was blown away and played the multiplayer death matches with my friends for hours. As the Halo franchise began to grow, the multiplayer death matches for the games got much better and few other games could offer the same, intense multiplayer experience that Halo did.

Being 14 when I played the first Halo, I was blown away and played the multiplayer death matches with my friends for hours. As the Halo franchise began to grow, the multiplayer death matches for the games got much better and few other games could offer the same, intense multiplayer experience that Halo did. Near the end of the Bungie era, the Halo games began to lose their flare, especially with the last game released in the Halo series Halo: Reach. Although many Halo enthusiast will argue to the grave it was a good game, they still have to accept that it lacked the competitive multiplayer experience people came to know, love and expect from a Halo game. Getting to play the multiplayer for Halo 4 in a quick eight on eight match was more than enough for me to know that Halo was back. There is a beautiful new look brought to the game, especially with the guns. The new maps are very refreshing and the competitive drive brought by the narrow hallways, open rooms, beautiful scenery, and fast paced gameplay left my heart racing like Halo did back in the glory days of 2 and 3.
